I had to admit I chuckled a bit when I saw the order Ed. We're using a web site which randomly selects everything - the days of picking names out of the hat are over. So blame the site and we'll try and keep Scott manageable.
I would like to explore this "morning line favorite(and deservedly so)" comment on Spyhunter... why is he the favorite? Why deservedly so? Just curious, to what I might have missed to give him these accolades. Also, in my humble opinion, it only further inflates that very large ego, which I will have to make room for next to him!

SPY is the best in this league. I think he had some good success last year in the mixed auction.

Granted I don't know many of the people in this league, but I do know my teams haven't won any money in three years. :( :( :(

Well, I placed second in the mixed auction $650 last year - and that happend on the last day after leading for most of the 6 months. That is my only claim to roto fame on the NFBC

And, big ego? Yikes! I think we are going to see some top notch players in this league. I think we all better bring our best game!

Spy You might have mentioned this once or a thousand times, can you commit to posting how your average picks in the main event gave you the highest score like you did last year after the main event.
Easy there Chest, easy. I finished at 99th in the main event last year. As I mentioned, my auction placement was my ONLY claim to fame. My picks of Hermidia and Felix didn't pay off, but others like Hanley did. No claims of greatness here, but not need to put each other down either eh?
No need to be sensitive what did I say to put you down- if you post on these boards and you do not know you drafted Hanley late then...

If I was trying to put you down or state a point I would talk about your post pulling up a mock draft done in February of 06- 8 months later talking about how your team was the best. But I wouldn't do that..

Good luck in the main- I will be rooting for my boy KOQ got to stay loyal, and in the auction you always have to root Gekko.. Mark MAY have to pay one to the house since it is his first but I think he will shock a few folks. His ablility to get people riled among other things will be very beneficial for him.

It took me a good few minutes to even remember what you were talking about - the mock we did the first 10 rounds of. It was fun to go back and see what we projected vs. what really happend. I thought it was funny that I was prescient enough in the mock to pick people like Soriano, but not smart enough to do the same in the main league. I guess you see that as big ego, I see it as having fun
if you had that xtra $10 that i made you spend on fielder, you could bought a 'good' closer or even a 2nd closer.

here's a rundown on your pitching...

J. Smoltz - good pitcher but you spent too much ($19)

J. Lackey - good pitcher. paid full price at $17

A. Harang - good pitcher. Paid full price at $14

D. Bush - good pitcher. good deal for $8

D. Lowe - okay, but for $8 and the other SP on your roster, got to pass

K. Rogers - innings eater, nothing more

J. Washburn - innings eater, nothing more

B. Looper - barely above waiver wire material

A. Miller - Minor leaguer this year. WASTED PICK (you have a lot of these types of wasted picks on your team). have fun holding that roster spot

C. Villanueva - Minor leaguer this year. WASTED PICK. have fun holding that roster spot

T. Saito - you paid $15 for Saito and I paid $21 for Street. GIVE ME STREET EVERY TIME AT THOSE PRICES

S. Linebrink - ZERO value unless he is closing. have fun holding that roster spot

M. Lindstrom - ZERO value unless he is closing. have fun holding that roster spot

M. Gonzalez - ZERO value unless he is closing. have fun holding that roster spot

pitching bottom line...you've spent too much $ on pitching, and your offense has suffered because of it.

let me be clear, you made some nice value picks with your hitter and pitchers. some of them i really like. BUT your lunacy for getting fielder and smoltz for top $$$, along with paying too much $$$ for pitching in general will be your downfall. enjoy! thanks.
