How do you grade yourself?

Post by Spyhunter » Fri Sep 04, 2009 10:12 am

Hi all,

It has been a quiet year for me on the boards due to real life sadly getting in the way of NFBC... Anyway, as I look at my various results, I have decided that I will never win in the Main event. Or I will need to wait til I retire to do so. Since I am 40, that means a long time... Why? because while I feel my drafts are competitive, I simply a) don't follow the minors closely enough and b) tend to chase performance. When I trade stocks, I am much better but when it comes to players I just chase. I can't seem to help it which is sad because my stock investing results have been quite good.

How I grade my game:

Snake style drafting: B

Auction style drafting: A-

In season FAAB drafting: C-

In season player line up management: F

Basically what I continue to see is that I do fairly well in auctions due to strong drafts but my average skills in snake style drafting basically relegates me to the bottom half of the main event. Tragic but I have to face the reality of the results...

Anyway, good luck to all in the final month

I also trade stocks on a daily basis. What strategies do you use that seem to work for you?
