Setting Starting Lineups For Week 1 In The NFBC

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Mar 29, 2017 10:12 am

Okay, for the second straight year in the NFBC, Week 1 will consist of 8 days, the only time during the year this happens. Because MLB again has multiple games on Sunday, April 2nd, we will score Week 1 for all games from April 2nd through Sunday, April 9th.

Now here's the Catch: We DO NOT lock rosters on Sunday for any NFBC league. Everyone in the NFBC will be able to watch the Sunday games and set their starting lineups after they are completed. For each player you must set them 5 minutes before their first scheduled games on Monday or Tuesday. Even if there are rainouts or cancellations, rosters lock 5 minutes before their scheduled first game of that week.

The first FAAB period is also on Sunday night, April 2nd. Players that you pick up in FAAB CAN be inserted into your Week 1 starting lineup and you will get stats from Sunday's games.

In the past we used Sunday as a separate week when there was only one game, but now with multiple games at different times we've decided to make Sunday part of Week 1. Everyone has the same access to data and information from those games. And with 7 more days of games to come and more good or bad results still coming, you risk adding a pitcher who got a cheap win in your lineup with 7 more days to go.

So plan accordingly. There is an April 2-April 6 link to use for setting these lineups. Remember that hitters can be moved out of your starting lineup on Friday if you have a reserve player that qualifies at the same position, but Pitchers can't be moved on Fridays.

Hope this helps. Good luck everyone and email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.
