That had to be Carlos Guillen didnt it?

There is no way Jose Guillen could have gone that early.

How can Howard go 15 , i dont get it.

58 homers , 149 rbi's and he's a 300 hitter,313.

I wouldnt let him go past five.Cant imagine picking 15 and Howard is there, what a nice suprise.Every draft is different.

Agreed on BA Ed. Figuring low .280's close to middle of the pack. The players you asked about:

Cain 7th

Cantu 12th

Monroe 15th

Padilla 20th

Neshek 28th

Jeff i got Cain in the 8th round pick 12, i thought that was great value.

I also grabbed Cantu in the 15th round another great value pick.

Monroe went in the 15th in both leagues.

Padilla i got in round 20 like you did , still like that pick a lot.

Neshek went in the 26th round , you did better in the 28th.

I also got Podsednik in the 14th round pick 12, i still think this was my best pick especially if he is healthy come april. If your still on where did PODS go.I would guess 10th to 11th.

Hey Eddie,

I drafted with Will last night as an alternate. Someone dropped out late so we had to jump in somewhat unprepared. Heck, it was only $100 so we gave it our best shot without any sheets to work with.

Here is what we got:

C: Hernandez and LoDuca

1st: Tex

2nd/MI: Kendrick and Kent

3rd/CI: Wright and Mora

SS: Lugo

OF: Dunn, Crisp, Hawpe, DeJesus, Blake

UT: Kouzmanoff

Reserve hitters: E.Brown, A.Lind, T.Tulowitzki

SP: Carpenter, Oswalt, Hill, Pettite, Clemens, Jeff Weaver, Mulder, Lieber

RP: Lidge, Howry, Timlin, Donnelly, Proctor

We'll mix and match pitching to keep a balance between ERA/WHIP/K's/Wins

By the way, we were in the league where Howard slipped. I can tell you this, we would not have passed on him if we realized he was there. Will logged on a minue befoe pick 9 (our pick) was up. The natural assumption was that he was gone. We had already decided to take Wright with 9 if he was there. A minute or two later we realized we passed on Howard and Utley. Interesting....

See you in NY!

By the way, Pods was R15, pick 6 in our $100 draft. Team 14 had a unique strategy to say the least. He started with speed/avg guys in rounds 1 and 2 and then took pitchers in rounds 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 14. I'm sure these results are different than many drafts.

I cant believe PODS is going this late.He should have no promblem stealing 40 and maybe up to 50.

Speed is so hard to get and he keeps sliding.

Pete your team is awesome, you have a killer pitching staff, and plenty of good hitters.

Your only place your weak is one closer ,but you can get saves sometimes on the waiver wire.

You will be in the hunt, not bad for jumping right in. good luck.

yeah, that Wells pick was my goof. This was my first NFBC draft online. I was messsing around before the draft, I meant to draft Teixeira but Wells was selected from when I was experimenting. I tried to contact the commish but they didnt come around for like 10 mins so by then it was too late.

It could have been worse, I could have selected some journeyman SP. I had Wells as about the 25th best player so it didnt hurt too bad.
