Observations

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Tue May 10, 2016 9:31 am

When tests come back 'negative' for players like Ellsbury and Jed Lowrie, does it matter?

Tanner Roark says the Cubs played 'scared' against Bryce Harper.
Roark said this while drinking wine, a faint aroma of sour grapes in the air...

The press made a big deal out of the Mets seeing Chase Utley last night.
A case where everybody has turned the page except for the author...

29 homers last night....
20 solo.

Ryan Zimmerman went 0-4 last night. Daniel Murphy had a homer.
And Bryce Harper walked two more times.
Put together the puzzle pieces. Dusty is having a hard time with it......

Sonny Gray's stats Doolittle for his fantasy owners....

Remember April 7?
That was the last time Chase Headley had an rbi.
He plays every day....
He is still Chaseing his first extra base hit.
Wait...why does he play everyday again?
Oh yeah, he may have an Aaron Hill day...

Mazara went 0-6 with three strike outs last night...
That was fun while it lasted...

Billy Hamilton had three singles last night.
Didn't steal a base...
His owners still have blue balls....

Marcel Ozuna went back to tag first base on JT Realmuto's homer last night.
I got nothing....but geez!...

The Cubs and Padres were postponed.
Padres Win!

Hermann is having a Munster year....

Five innings of Jake Peavy and Toronto scores three runs.
They really are slumping....

Logan Morrison is hitting .122
Strike that.
Logan Morrison is missing .122
If Morrison goes 0 for his next 16, he'll be hitting his IQ.
Does that say less about the batting or the brain?...
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

chase headly is definitely a ballplayer that when you look at his baseball card you can see the year that his contract was up- and the year that he juiced. geovanni soto is another.

Ozuna is an idiot - the ball was hit to deep left center field so even approaching second base he would have had time to get back to first base when he could see/think it would be caught. IF it was not caught he would want to be as close to second base (not past it) so he could be in position to score.

Of course the blame for the runners even being close belongs to the first base coach who was responsible for both of them
