Post by Tom Kessenich » Tue Feb 06, 2007 2:51 am

Hey folks, we are getting closer and closer to selling out the 2007 event as we have less than 100 spots remaining. So if you want to take part in the industry's only multi-city, high-stakes fantasy baseball event don't delay and sign up today. You can register online at www.fantasybaseballchampionship.com or if you want to contact Greg or myself we'll be happy to get you hooked up. Here is our contact info:

Greg (715 445-4612 ext. 284) or [email protected]

Tom (715 445-4612 ext. 653) or [email protected]

We'd love to have you join the fun so if you're new to our event and have been checking things out or if you've taken part in the event in the past and have been waiting to return don't wait too long. We're going to be sold out soon. So jump into the fray and let's have some fun in Vegas, New York, Chicago and Tampa this year.

Less Than 80 Spots Remaining For The 2007 NFBC

Come to Tampa...Tampa good!

Beach...Spring...Baseball...casino...!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Here's the current breakdown by city:

114 for Las Vegas

81 for New York

38 for Chicago

29 for Tampa

So that's 7 full leagues and nearly one/half of an 8th one in Vegas; 5 full leagues and working on the 6th in New York; 2.5 leagues in Chicago and nearly 2 full leagues in Tampa.

This is the wildest day of signups I think we've ever had in our four years here. Tom and I can't even keep up with all of them coming in. We'll try to update the list as soon as we can.

I think we've filled the $1,250 Mixed Auction League in New York. I'll update that soon. Wow, did those last spots go fast. More details to come soon, but thanks everyone for a BUSY day.

Greg, I hope you have that large, Red Auerbach cigar ready - I think you are going to need it BEFORE March 1 at this rate!

You guys have no idea how happy Greg and I would be if we sold out on March 1. Heck, we were both pretty giddy last year when we announced the draft orders on Friday instead of the following Monday. If we were able to close this thing out a few weeks earlier than planned that would be outstanding.

That means you'll see me with a cigar at the LABR Drafts, Perry! :D Wouldn't that be sweet!! Over the last two days, we received over 60 signups for all NFBC leagues, definitely a record. Heck, we even had some NFFC signups after the Super Bowl. For a while there, Tom and I thought someone was making up those signups as it was like a slot machine here yesterday afternoon. We get e-mailed with each signup and our computers were singing!! :D

But we still have a lot of work to do. I still need to find a way to pay for a round of drinks!!! I'll see if I can get it done this month.

Here's the current city-by-city breakdown as of 10 p.m. CT today:

Las Vegas - 116

New York - 84

Chicago - 42

Tampa -32

Total - 274

That's 18 full leagues and onto our 19th. Like Greg said, the signups have been pouring in but we're getting greedy so we want to see more and more. So if you're someone new checking out event or if you've been with us in the past don't hesitate to jump into the fray. We're going to be bigger and better than ever this year and the open spots are going fast.
