Win A Free Main Event Entry Friday Night On Fanduel

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu May 29, 2014 12:26 pm

Let's get another owner into the 2015 NFBC Main Event this week as we again run the NFBC/Fanduel Friday Night Special. We have the link for tomorrow's contest already, so the first 72 entrants get in. Here's the link to the contest, which has one prize and an entry fee of just $25:

https://www.fanduel.com/e/Game/MLB_Sala ... b04eb5c590

Remember, first 72 entrants get in and this is only for NFBC owners. This is not being opened to the Fanduel membership. Good luck everyone and enjoy.

Past winners of a free NFBC Main Event entry in 2015 include:

1. Bryan Sannito
2. Todd Zola
3. Jonathan Kent
4. Anthony Palavis/Eric Burd
5. Michael Leone
6. David Anthony

Good luck to all this Friday night.

9 entries so far (minimum met so contest will run)

This can't be right? running the game on only nine entries?

Some of the sites/contests are willing to incur an overlay. It'll be moot since I'm sure we'll fill it!

Only 26 of 72 spots sold for tonight's contest. Let's see if we can't sell this one out folks and keep the run going. Good luck to everyone seeking that 2015 NFBC Main Event entry.

Since we're all being such gentlemen and sharing, here's the best resource I know for up-to-date and accurate lineups:

I'm now wondering if I should post my FanDuel entry early so as to let the rest of you know which players NOT to include in your entry :?

Pretty sure it goes to the one who weighs more -- or maybe it is inverse alphabetical order of last name -- I forget which ;)

:(
Anyone who took Julio Teheran as their pitcher can send up the white flag now.

He's already down 2 runs in the 1st.
Yes, I picked him for my team.

Looked at the numbers and tried to slip one in....kind of like when I tried to sneak one in on the prettiest girl in school whose boyfriend was one of the biggest kids in school...didn't work out well either...

I've had Josh going in several contests, but not last night.

I kind of suck at this.

I've got quite a skill for picking players when they're going to take the night off.

Encarnacion and Springer were two of the MLB's hottest players going into Friday.
Together they got me 1.5 total points.

Don't get me started on David Ortiz. He only plays like a monster if I bench him.

Streaks are non-predictive - it's actually a good idea to fade "hot" players since others will be on them.

Actually, I'm able to predict 60% of the time that if I bench a player he'll go on a hot streak every time.

Greg, I think it's time to again consider running this contest as a Sunday full MLB schedule game at FanDuel.

49 entries is great for the player but not so much for the sponsors.
Could someone 2nd the motion that NFBC consider running the FanDuel game on Sunday with the winner taking a $1600 2015 Main Event entry prize?

Another (lesser) suggestion: bring back the $100 prize for 2nd place...but only if all 75 spots are filled.
8-)

Sunday kills the west coast contingent as lineups are due 10 AM for them and takes away the fun of tracking games for those trying to get in some family time before they hit the FAAB. There's also many with other Sunday commitments not to mention lineups are whack on Sunday with many regulars given the day off.

Ilove the chance to win a shot at the main event but maybe try pay top 4 for on line championships.
