The NFBC Site Is Live For 2017!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Nov 22, 2016 11:43 am

The NFBC Site is Live for 2017 as of this morning and Registration is open!! BASEBALL IS BACK EVERYONE!! :D

You can now see the Schedule of Events for every city, every Online draft, every contest. You can also sign up for any 2017 event. I will start a 2017 Signup List shortly and keep track of signups just like we always have in the past. Transparency is important and it's also good to see who is coming to each city and for what events. Should be a fun, fun year.

Thanks for your patience everyone. I think in future years we'll be able to get the site live shortly after the World Series is over. But we're still live before Thanksgiving and our first Draft Champions Leagues will start on Nov. 23rd at 1 pm ET. That's earlier than last year, so that's a good thing.

We already have two full Draft Champions Leagues, so everyone in those leagues please set your KDS preferences by midnight tonight and look for draft spots first thing tomorrow morning. The first pick of the 2017 NFBC season will be made tomorrow at 1 pm ET. :D

Just a reminder that the new URL for baseball will be this one:

http://nfbc.sportshubtech.com/baseball/ ... /index.asp

You will initially need to log in with your User Name and Password to get to your teams. Once you do that your computer will recognize you for the site going forward.

I am still working on the dates for Chicago, so give me a few days there. We're still working on our host hotel in Las Vegas, so hold on there as well. We are going to tweak the New York schedule slightly to make sure we have three full days of live drafts and not just two overloaded days. Look for an update there. And we can add to our Online schedule at any time.

Please feel free to provide feedback on all of this and we'll get things finalized shortly. Thanks all and good luck.

But most of all: Welcome to the 14th season of the National Fantasy Baseball Championship. We are now open for business!!

We do have two changes that are coming to 2017 NFBC shortly:

We have switched Chicago's draft weekend to March 31-April 1 at the Sheraton Northbrook. The Chicago city page will be changed after the weekend. The Sheraton Northbrook did not have space for us on March 24-25 and we feel that we can mann this one along with the staff we have in Las Vegas that weekend. Dean Peterson will run Chicago for us and we hope to fill up an auction championship league on Friday, a couple of Main Events on Saturday and an Online Championship Plus on Saturday night. Note this weekend change if you are planning to do Chicago.

We are also adding an Ultimate Auction Championship on the First Weekend in Las Vegas. That will take place on Saturday, March 25th after the Main Event. We are trying to load up the First Weekend with a few more events to give owners even more of a reason to join us in Las Vegas on Sweet Sixteen weekend. Jon Stadtmueller is leading the charge and we already have six owners committed to this one. Keep an eye out for more details here. Thanks all and good luck.

Congratulations Greg and Tom for the seamless move, and as long as Greg is with the NFBC, I have full confidence it will only get better and better.
