all drafts should be 4 hour clocks with greg/tom setting them manually at 8 hours during nighttime

Started a DC today on a Sunday 8 picks 10 hours in. thought these would get better as we got closer..
They must find a better way.. Round 1 make it a hour.. You can't be around auto 1 so easy..
some people just have no respect for others...

Folks, now that the games have started, some owners are going to take as much time as they want to see if there is any "breaking news" that would impact their pick. And then they count on other owners to make quick picks. Unfortunately some would call that strategy.

Ah yes. the thread that will not just go away as the powers that be wish that it would. Here's an idea for having it never pop again: Fix all the problems with the format by the time next season rolls around, roll out the new and improved rules and etiquette guidelines way in advance of registration.

As of now, for anyone reading this who cares, there's an extremely tentative brainstorming meeting with a potential focus group in Vegas on this format and other NFBC contest service improvement issues/problems that is in limbo until it can be worked into the schedule. Perhaps it should be made to be a priority given the over 100 posts to this thread and thousands of views it has received? Should be an indicator of something...

I am finishing up a draft that took almost five weeks.
FIVE freakin' weeks!!!
Excrutiating pain!
Several 'bad' drafters.
Drafts are NOT supposed to be a pain in the ass!
So, let's do something productive with this thread. I invite everybody who has had or is having a draft from Hell to a 'Well paced draft'.
Everybody should pick within minutes. If taking up to an hour or over, notice will be given on chat.
Mike the Mouth will get text numbers from all involved to keep reminders flowing.
Mikey is the best in the facilitating business. He'll even allow you 15 minutes before getting a text sometimes
Don't worry about the clock at night. We'll keep the 8 hours and somebody 'volunteers' to eat up that clock with an early bed time.
Guaranteed, you have a blast.

We'll take signups here, don't register.
This will keep out the riff raff

Still don't understand the issues with this setup:

4 Hour Clock

This gives everyone up to 10 hours to pick overnight (if you sleep longer than that when you are approaching your picks, you have more problems than simply timing out).

All you have to do is check you draft before work, at lunch, after work and before bed, and you should never miss a pick.

Doughboys, Thank You for setting this up...my 8th Team will be great drafting with players that know how to friggen draft..... 2 Main teams left the best way to draft all at once.. NFBC Please!!! Please!!! put together a list for next year avg Draft time on clock so we can weed out the jack assess.. Thank You.. I never complain, great product but why not make it even better
