really wish you'd said "19" when pineda was up in our a.l., rather than let me have him at $18...:) johnson is the only closer on my other a.l. team, currently in first. today's report that he is being held for further observation and they have yet to diagnose his ailment, has me wondering what i sh...

daddy, what's a conundrum?

well,

pretend you own gio gonzalez and henry rodriguez. last night, brad lidge came on in the ninth to 'nail down' the save after gonzalez was lifted after only 91 pitches. lidge gave up a lead-off double, then a walk, and went 3-0 on the next batter.

what outcome do you hope for?

[quote="Glenneration X"] what I believe is my biggest weakness in this hobby of ours, my affinity towards elite but injury prone arms. Re: I thought I'd seen it all

With the incredible level of volatility of closers going down for the year, totally unexpected role changes(e.g. Santiago,Rodney,Aceves, etc.) and countless early season blown saves maybe there is a need to consider a rules change for next year. Many leagues have adapted the saves category to a combi...

Re: Wanna be Auction Championship team vs. The Real McCoy

Greg, I liked a lot of your buys...Ency, Jennings, Asdrubal, Hill, Worley, Nicasio, Storen were all nice for the price. Love your overall hitting depth, but I would be worried about the overall pitching with the shaky closer situation (like Storen, but he is hurt; hate Thornton). very true. i am co...

Re: New Prize Structure For NFBC Slow Draft Championship

if we assume that the winner of any of these prizes, 15th through 1st, has already pocketed 1k, then getting an extra $250 isn't that big a deal. nice, but i prefer the plan that pushes most of the prize $ up closer towards the top end.
