Re: ROI

KJ- I don't know you or give a damn who you are but I do know one thing... I went 0-5 last year adapting to a new format and for that I will take a ribbing. Guess what else I had zero of? Accusations of collusion. Can your good ole boy network say the same??? Are your wins solo or do you play partne...

Re: ROI

I did horribly at the DC's last year. I've still forgotten more about fantasy baseball than either of you know. I'm kind of bored interacting with people of lower intellect. That's all i've done today. I've got the answer to my initial inquiry. I'm not responding to anyone else on this matter. Like ...

Re: ROI

. Coz, I'm sure YL can defend himself but I was pretty sure you were around the chat when he told us that after round 23 he goes on auto pick because he uses the DCs only as practice for preparation in advance of the larger events. I personally feel that going on auto pick so early (and getting Kur...

Re: ROI

Son I've seen you draft. Perhaps less time should be spent on your "rebuttals" and more on research. If you are new to fantasy baseball and need help call my secretary and I will personally tutor you free of charge because I'm a nice guy. If you are just lashing out because you feel intellectually i...

Re: ROI

Thank you for sharing Deadheadz. You are a good dude. There seems to be plenty here that have an over inflated sense of their importance to other people. I don't care how obnoxious or opinionated the people on the MB are...as long as their money is green we are cool. My bank accepts the money of nic...

Re: ROI

Basic humanity 101 is being able to listen to opinions different from your own and have intelligent discussions without getting personal. My pet peeve is people who think everyone should think like them or do things the way they do. I was in a DC with a guy who whined the entire two weeks because an...

Re: ROI

I respect your opinion Dave. For me, it comes down to your motives. I have hobbies and things I do for the love of it. Most of those things involve my family as fellow participants. Fantasy baseball is something I do on my own strictly for profit. Don't get me wrong...I enjoy it. But I would not do ...

Re: 7 Spots Left: $150 4-Hour Draft Champions 2

With all the complaining and whining about people taking too long to draft i thought these things would fill up quicker. I would do one but there is no way to tell when it's going to fill. at least with the 8 hour DC's you can kind of predict when they will start.

Re: ROI

Never mind..if you click "contests" from inside the main screen it shows the Platinum league. IF you do it from the message board it does not. That is more than i would invest in fantasy baseball plus I'm not willing to travel to draft but best of luck to you KJ. Travel expenses alone put a dent in ...

Re: ROI

Valid point Greg. What I'm getting at though is if someone wanted to "grind" out maximum profit without chasing the big prize satellites would be the way to go if my math is right, correct? I don't see Platinum listed but I assume the entry is above the $1500 I'm willing to risk on any one entry. Ku...

ROI

I just wanted someone to confirm my thinking... A $1000 satellite collects $15000 and pays out $12,000 for a profit margin for the NFBC of 20%. The main event collects $720,000 (30 contests x $1600) and pays out $546.450 for a rake of roughly 24%. All other factors even would it be safe to say satel...

Re: NEW DRAFT ROOM

Apologies for my part in the derailment of the conversation Greg.

My two cents...a draft room is a draft room. The particular features are not of much importance to me.

Re: NEW DRAFT ROOM

OK Ambulance Chaser let me help you out. We are in a $400 DC together and I had to listen to you whine about people's strategy for two weeks. Team name Shandler's Folly. You will be looking up at my name in the standings all year. I'm the guy that told you all that matters is ROI and taking money fr...

Re: NEW DRAFT ROOM

It's because he mistakes being loud and fucking obnoxious with having something intelligent to say. Same with COZ. I did a quick study of whose won the most money in the NFBC and it's not people who are active message board participants. The people cashing could give a fuck about the draft rooms bec...

Re: Public DC's and Fast/Slows

I would love the option to put in your worst enemies email address...someone who hates baseball like an ex wife or girlfriend. Let them get 750 updates on how your draft is going....while using your real email address for other NFBC correspondence

Re: Public DC's and Fast/Slows

So Mike...let me get this straight. You think your long winded diatribes are welcome however Deadheadz posts are not? What make's your opinion, mine, or anyone else's more important than the next person. Some of the "veterans" really need to get over themselves. No one needs to earn your respect. I ...

Re: How Does DFS Affect Your Season-Long Participation?

I play DFS because on days I have time to review the weather/lineups I can make money long term playing 50/50's. The number of people who put in a dead lineup because they didn't hear about a late scratch or inclement weather is greater than the rake %. I don't get excited about DFS because he reall...

And I never indicated he owned Baseball HQ. Your reading comprehension skills are lacking. I indicated he compared himself to Derek Jeter in a tweet when in fact Jeter is great at what he does where as Ron...I'm not sure what he does other than self promote.

The NFBC'er who told me is beyond reproach in his integrity. But since you hold a high journalistic standard jackass, I checked and yep he said it. Which makes him and you a d'bag. Good company to keep.

Miquel Cabrera

To me the biggest story of the early drafts is how far Miggy is dropping. I understand some concern over the foot but I never thought I would see him go ninth... I don't like taking a 1B in first round but if he falls to me at five or below I can't pass that up. Unless there is more to his injury th...

Chris Kyle Was Not A Hero

He made statements indicating that he wished he could kill every person with a Koran and bragged about killing alleged looters after Katrina. These are the actions of a psychopath not a hero. I'm ashamed of Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper for making a propaganda piece that whitewashes all the nega...
