Re: Leagues already drafted
No skin in the game here, but basically the NFBC is in an impossible spot. There are guaranteed prizes that must be met in overall contests, people that will be disgruntled if they don't have the right strategy for the circumstances, and many other issues. I wish them well through these very difficu...

All time leagues
Hope everyone is staying safe out there. Scary time out there. While I don't know that I would want to even participate just rekindling that concept of an all time league like some of you guys had done a long time ago. Seems like you had fun with it. Might be a good time to do some concept of that, ...

Re: Is It Time To Discuss IP Minimums Going Forward?
The thread is about IP minimums, not bastardizing the rules of roto baseball. Please keep the categories the same. I am not sure I will ever play again, but changing the roto rules would help ensure I don't return. Maybe I should root for change:) I believe the IP was raised in contained leagues to ...

Re: FAAB
You cannot sort by stats for different time frames any longer? That is critical in baseball. When deciding to jump back in again or not, things like this make a difference. I am now scared shitless for football. I was assured the faab would be much much better. If there are loading issues in baseba...

Re: Live Scoring
Looked at live scoring page in someone's account. Words cannot really describe this disaster. Be very curious to see how quickly improvements are made prior to football. Here to help if you want fellas. This is horrific and must be fixed. This is the cream of the crop in baseball competitions. Time ...

Good points. It could work if well thought out. Possibly too complicated for the reasons mentioned.

Re: How About A $100,000 Grand Prize In The NFBC Cutline?
normal points style scoring and i would play a lot of these. Won't play with what I deem to be poor scoring rules and design. You cannot replicate roto into points nor should it be attempted. Deal breaker for me. As for the universal FAAB, that is a hell of an idea. Especially if there were to be no...

Re: Last Week Of The NFBC Season....Maybe
The rules are very poorly written in the diamond league at least. Would be tough to enforce the 1200 requirement as the rules are written. In a side note, it makes no sense as to why everyone wouldn't move up a peg. They beat the teams that don't meet qualifications. Also should be same amount of ro...

Re: During Record HR Year: Is The Baseball Juiced?
Not sure about the ball. Seems like it has something to do with it. How much, I am not sure. As for batting averages. Some of the reasons would be down, even if the ball is better to hit are shifts, and more importantly, the types of batters that are being used. Sabermetrics has evolved the game. Th...

Re: Pitching Changes
I'm with you that there is inequality in the player pool in a overall contest if a minor leaguer is available in some leagues and not others. The way I would fix it is to allow any player drafted on any team in any contest to be eligible in FAAB for all teams in that contest, not just the league or...

Re: Pitching Changes
Good point on the 10 day DL causing havoc Mike. This is also impacting pitching. It obviously cannot be proven but teams are using this to their benefit on pitchers. Seems like a lot of pitchers are magically hurt after their start. Lets put them on the DL, which gives us an extra arm in the pen for...

Re: Pitching Changes
A DL spot or two would help with the pitching, and would help keep things a little more level in general. As I experienced a few years ago in the main event, when you have 7 good players on DL at the same time, you either have to drop good players, or have no roster flexibility, or both. They health...

Re: Looking For Feedback On NFBC Cutline Rules
I don't think you have space for another game with a different type of scoring system. I think you need to make the best scoring system for your current offering. If you think this is it, then there is no problem. If you are concerned about numbers decreasing, then you might want to look at the scor...

Re: Trout To DL
Heard someone mention the other day that the bases should be softer. Obviously, the cannot be too soft, but this is worth exploring perhaps. This person suggested that a lot of the hand injuries are caused by the bases being too hard.
EDIT. Overlooked above post. Same thing.

Re: Looking For Feedback On NFBC Cutline Rules
All it takes is a worthy scoring system like all other points style fantasy baseball games use, and I woukd play this. Will never play if the points are quirky and replication of roto is attempted. It is impossible to replicate and predictably needed change after one year. New potential customers t...

Got the job done in Nebraska. Will be even more prepared next year having fought this thing once. It is not going to get through this time though, which was the goal. The bill needs to be written properly or not put through. While this wasn't a complete success, as I didn't get a well written bill p...

Re: Trout To DL
In regards to stealing, I think you are right on. The head first or Pete Rose slide should only be back to a bag. These guys don't need to take that risk. Besides, the pop up slide is a better tool on many plays anyway. A good baserunner will be safe more often going in head first - you can go in h...

Re: The NFBC DL Team
There are many ways to win in full season sports. The first way, very few can excel with on a regular basis, IMO. This method is drafting great players each pick and to hell with ADP. I sure as hell cannot do that. I believe the masses have it right. Having current adp information(rather than stale ...
