Re: Pace of live Main Event drafts
Not trying to be all Gekko here... I love Mark for the record. If I am sensing that you are taking your time and do better at a slower pace why would I not try to do the exact opposite to you especially if we are on an end together and your picks can have an even larger impact on my draft? These pe...

Re: Main Event Draft Orders Released On Monday
The other plus is you get the BEST drafter not the most practiced at a certain draft spot who couldn't think his way out of a paper bag if you moved him up or down in the draft. PLUS you stop all the silly complaints[/qu May be the silliest thing I have seen written on these boards in a long time. T...

Re: NFBC Milestone Reached Recently
I don't post a lot anymore and fully realize I can get my man card suspended for writing this. I lost my dad at a young age. I realized early on that it was a lot to ask of any one person to fill that role. Hell in all honesty it was not huge shoes to fill. I decided to collectively pick a group of ...

Can you give some suggestions on how you budget heading in to an auction? How much for pitching and hitting?
Within each sub category do you have an idea how many dollar players you want? What you want to spend on your big money core players?

Re: Favorite Stadium
Have not been to all but here is the list I have been too. I'm a Homer so I love Miller park...maybe because of how bad County Stadium was. I also have to admit I'm not sold on a stadium because of tradition thus the low rankings of Fenway and Wrigley. Or I just hate the Cubs that much!. 1. Miller ...

Re: Mookie "Minor Leaguer" Betts!!
The thing I find interesting about Betts is do you really think Pedroia is going to play 155 games at 2b? He gets a lot more interesting as Jose Altuve light. The issue I see is if you want him to be your speed anchor and guess wrong that is a big uphill battle. I gave up on trying to guess Mark's g...

Re: Favorite Stadium
[quote="EWeaver"]Favorite: Camden, followed closely by AT&T (though the garlic fries as the feature food item are hugely overrated; cha cha bowl is really good) - have not been to PNC, plan to get there this summer, looks awesome (would go for just the primanti bros sandwich). Biggest letdown: Nats ...

Why I love the NFBC
My entire life I have known more about baseball than anyone I would meet. That changed here. I welcome as do most of us who face the exact same situation. I would rather be respected here for my baseball acumen than revered elsewhere for it. I love the friendships. I love the interesting people. I l...

Re: Atlanta Braves
As a Braves fan I love the offseason. If you think about it they are following the Theo model in Chicago. Buy spare parts and tell your less educated fans you are trying. Hope one of those spare parts gets valuable at the deadline and you turn it in to a prospect. Second part is hope you can pull an...

Okay, enough of this thread folks. Everyone got their Forecasters, Ray has admitted where there were some breakdowns, folks even took their shots at Ron who isn't involved in the day-to-day operations anymore and we move on. Enough already. We're always happy to work with the BBHQ guys and it's tim...

I think you pay Banks the ultimate compliment when you say his behavior off of the field overshadowed his performance on it. Not very often we get to say that in a positive way. Something for us all to strive for...

Re: Mr. Cub, Mr. Baseball
I am lucky to have gotten to meet over 50 hall of famers... He was the nicest. A true gentleman. Last time I saw him was two years ago and he seemed in excellent health. My favorite story Orlando spring training. He is sitting in the stands with a hat that says Mr Cub and people are going right past...

Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
I had dinner with three investment bankers tonight and two of them had put an LOI in on the stats deal. 2 interesting things 1) They suspected stats got over ten times earnings for a business they saw with little upside potential. In that world that is huge. 2) I asked what upside they saw that made...

You are not the only one Kevin - not even close to it But there are a whole lot of sheep who never post or don't know about the message boards or got scared off if they found it - the silent masses don't know they should say what they want - Especially when it is different from what they are given....

Payments From Fantasy Sports Insurance Due Soon
I know a few of you beat this idea up. Hopefully you have been won over to the dark side. I have hit on insurance policies both years and Henry is the kind of guy who you email at 7pm and by 8pm he has answered you.
I encourage everyone to take advantage of this in 2012.

I am obviously in full support of this with Greg and Dan and I are already working on some surprises for him.
With that said we should not forget that two people work very hard in Iola WI every single day.
Tom- batman's shadow casts long but you are one heck of a Robin.

Feedback Wanted On 12-Team NFBC Main Event
I think one point I missed now that I have gotten a chance to think about it is this... I only thought about the impact to the 15 team main event because I think with 99% certainty it would contract. Is that the end of the world though? If you can maintain enough participation to keep it interesting...
