Re: 2022 Rule Changes? Saves?
Like Doughboys said, the game is evolving and it's also a zero-sum game. No rule change is going to give anyone an advantage. For me, it's more about do we evolve with the game and do we keep stat categories that are increasingly irrelevant and therefore more frustrating to find because real MLB man...

Re: 2022 Rule Changes? Saves?
Good discussion! FWIW - the main event totals so far are not pointing to a drop in the Save totals. We are at the 45.8 percent mark (2226 of 4860 games played) and the 80th percentile mark is at 35 which is on pace for a 76 total. 76 would actually be higher than the 2019 and 2020 (pro-rated) total...

2022 Rule Changes? Saves?
I don't check the boards a lot so sorry if I missed something similar, but are there any proposed changes for next year? The game has changed so much that I'd argue it might be time to shift away from some of the stats we've become accustomed to. The one that I am having a really hard time with is s...

Re: OFFICIAL NFBC STATEMENT ON 60-GAME SEASON
While no one responded to my question, I did finally sign up for a league and saw my pre-rankings did in fact survive.

Re: OFFICIAL NFBC STATEMENT ON 60-GAME SEASON
If I sign up for a contest, will my pre-rankings carry over from March? This definitely has some effect on my decision.

Ugh, I see it is because the one league is full though the KDS hasn't run yet.run yet. So, really, I am stuck there now? I joined with the understanding that the season would begin right after that.

Re: Open Chat With Greg, Tom & Darik
What is the easiest way to remove my team from an upcoming league/draft? Brian, you can change any upcoming draft as long as it isn't full this way (and everyone will need to learn this soon): Go to My Teams To the left of that team link is a gear icon. Click on it. Pull down to whatever date and t...

Re: Sunday night FAAB
There should be an announcement of faab extension now, not later. Here is where I got to. I had everything set up and pressed save and the site was down. I need to go somewhere but I am basically stuck at home waiting until I can press the save button.

Re: Sunday night FAAB
Faab should be pushed back the amount of time the site is down. The real disaster will be if no one is monitoring this and the faab runs at 7.

Re: Team Stats - Fantasy YTD
Those screenshots above are what I am looking for! I can't find yesterday's stats anywhere. Can anyone tell me where I can view yesterday's stats and see what pitchers did on defense instead of listed as batters with 0 ABs? Also, did someone say something about mobile? I have been searching for an N...

How do you know this year different? I mean, no offense or anything but you probably weren't at the beginning of other seasons saying, "We have platform changes aplenty still comin'!"

Re: INCORRECT CUTLINE POINT TOTALS FOR PITCHERS
So now all the correct players are in my lineup and I'm in first in live scoring (yay), but on my league page I'm in third. Which is correct? I guess the assumption would be live scoring is correct and the league standings are current as of yesterday, but the live scoring had me in the lead yesterda...

Re: INCORRECT CUTLINE POINT TOTALS FOR PITCHERS
I see that the live standings are not correctly pushing players into my lineup. For example, Paddack earned 17 today (according to the page; I haven't checked it is correct yet) and is sitting on my bench. There are plenty of pitchers who earned less. Shouldn't he be showing up in my lineup?

Japan Games
Forgive me, I've been unable to find out how the Japan games will count aside from the following: "First Lineup Deadlines for Week 1: The MLB season starts on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 with two games in Japan, with all 30 teams playing on 3/28/19. All of those games plus the Friday-Sunday slate of g...

Re: NFBC New FAAB: See Instructional Video For Tips
Ugh, I hope I'm just not seeing it. GS is not an option for pitchers as far as I can tell. Also, ability to sort by stats over the last day/week/month etc. I cannot find. These are the #1 and 2 features I need in FAAB. As far as I can tell the video does not touch on this or how to sort pitcher stat...

Re: Let's Compile The Latest Updates In This Thread
Here is an issue: I put Velasquez in my line-up for this weekend. When I look at next week's line-up, he's back on the bench. To be sure this was not my mistake, I looked at my history and it only has a record of me activating him. I'm going to be pretty miserable if I realize on Tuesday of some wee...

Questions About New Website
These things might have been discussed ad nauseam, but I can't find the answers so any help would be great: 1. I accidentally clicked that I wanted the two step verification, which was not the worst mistake of my life but probably in the top ten. How do I get rid of it? 2. Where is ADP? 3. Will the ...

Re: Clayton Kershaw = Billy Hamilton (So far...)
Just thinking on this more... I don't get the hate for Kershaw/Hill. That's maybe 320 innings of amazing pitching. If you draft SPs in two of your first three picks, your offense is very likely dead in the water. In fact, if you draft three with your first ten, same. You need to build some equity o...

Not better than Hill/Kershaw. Not even much better than Kershaw and a chump. No offense. Those are fine picks, but Kershaw is that good.knuckleheads wrote:Baumgarner/Hendricks 2/6. My ME.

Re: Clayton Kershaw = Billy Hamilton (So far...)
That means I can find treasure in pitching but less so in hitting so I'm never going Kershaw first round. I can find pitching but *need* hitting. I'm not against all first-round Kershaw scenarios, just the one where the pitching staff falls apart if he falls apart. I considered Kershaw with the 2nd...

Re: Clayton Kershaw = Billy Hamilton (So far...)
Meh, if your first round busts, you have a problem no matter what. I had that last year but had it good with Mookie Betts, et al. Whether you put one category in one basket or several, you still have to make up a ton. In a sense it's easier to lose Hamilton (as I also did last year) because you know...

Sincerely, thanks for the post. I'm not challenging everyone, it's just that people argue when I say so much but never say what they do. I'm sure you enjoy your prep process.
