I'd be up for one of those now or later. I like the 24 hour clock as it's great prep to force myself to really analyze the pro's and con's of each potential pick. Especially this early when I don't have any cheat sheets yet.

Blown call in game 4 - They need replay
There are bad calls, horrible calls, and then every now and then there are calls so bad it's difficult to conceive how an umpire could possibly make such a call. Longoria's tag of Rollins in the first inning falls into the latter category...I figured, ok, I guess a bug must have flown in his eye, fo...

How about listing, for each format(15 team Mixed League, 13 team NL Only, 12 team AL Only) average points in the standings for their own individual league. So if Team A had 100 one year, and had 80 the next, the rankings would look like: 1) Team Smith(3) 108.7 2) Team Robinson(2) 98.5 3) Team A(2) 9...

Capricious Nature of FAAB
I know this has been discussed before, but FAAB remains the one thing I absolutely abhor about fantasy baseball. Complete crapshoot from the get-go. I know Greg has expressed that he doesn't like Ron Shandler's Vickrey(sp?) system. But I'm beyond frustrated with the current blind FAAB, as, in my opi...

Where Did The Top 25 Teams Draft?
A couple of surprises here. First, that no Johan takers are listed. Yes we all realize he underperformed expectations, but he's still a stud and had a great season. I didn't expect to see Miggy on so many teams, but I think that just goes to show that drafts aren't won or lost in the first round, bu...

1. Should we leave Friday as the day for NL, AL and Mixed Auction Leagues? Or would you consider a timeframe that allows auction leagues in the morning on Friday and the 12-team main event on Friday night? For me, this would be terrible. The auctions, without question, are the highlight of my weeken...

1,2,3 hours between drafts....makes no difference to me. If it's a long break I can go grab lunch somewhere, check the news, review/rehash my strategies some more. If it's only one hour, that's fine too, as long as there's some sort of food and water close by to tide us over. The only advantage I co...

I don't care how you slice it. I'll be there regardless. I do 2 auctions every year on Friday, and I'd do a third the same day after that if one was offered. Yanks awesome prospect Pat Venditte!!
I can see the roto news updates now.... Pat Venditte underwent an MRI on his right pitching elbow which showed minor inflamation. He'll be limited to throwing lefthanded the next few outings until this subsides. We'll need 2 pitch counts, one for each arm! [ June 24, 2008, 09:44 AM: Message edited b...

Just the last couple of days(some possibly minor, others not)....Soriano, Putz, Alou, Victor Martinez, Pujols, Hariston, Jurrjens, and possibly Webb(left after 58 pitches)?
I'm sure I missed a few.
So....who goes down tonight?

Bonderman headed for DL
Discomfort in shoulder. He will miss Sunday's start and could be headed for the DL. It's no longer a question of WHEN the Tigers will get to .500, but IF. They look like a team more likely to be leading the Majors in losses at the ASB. Time for them to prepare to become sellers as the trade deadline...
