Through our first seven years of the NFBC and NFFC, we've always paid in full and we've done our best to pay on time. Last year payments went out within 8 weeks of the conclusion of the NFBC and NFFC seasons while we were with Fanball, but we know we can do better than that going forward and WE WILL do better than that. It's your money and WE WANT YOU TO HAVE IT.
Tom and I spent part of this week in Chicago with STATS going over everything from our 2011 events and planning for 2012. The first meeting we had was about payments and making sure everyone gets paid on time. EVERYONE at STATS is committed to this and we are prepared to make it happen.
The first order of business is getting W-9s from all of our winners. None of the W-9s we had in the past came with us from Fanball, so we need EVERYONE to fill one out online. I know that 250+ owners have done that already, but if you haven't please do so online. You can find a W-9 form with your contact info already filled out when you click on any of your team links. Then go to SETTINGS and pull down to Online W9. Put in your Social Security number, click on both check boxes at the bottom and you'll be good to go. We can't pay anyone until we have this W-9 on file, so please do this.
Next up: If you want to split your prizes with a co-manager we need you to contact Tom at [email protected] before the end of the day on Wednesday. We have a nice process in place where we can start processing winning checks, so to make that happen we need all splitting of prizes known to us no later than Wednesday night, Oct. 5th. Everything after that goes to the principle owner.
After that, it's on us to get you checks this month. During our time with Krause Publications, we always tried to get checks out within four weeks. I remember having checks sent out around Halloween and having guys at the AFL Symposium thank me for getting them that first week in November. We are going to duplicate that timetable and even see if we can improve on it.
The industry needs FAST and GUARANTEED payouts. We are committed to being the industry leader in that regard for baseball, football and any other sport we run. We have found a way to split prize payments to multiple owners thanks to STATS. We believe we can quicken our payments to our winners thanks to STATS. We KNOW all of our prizes are GUARANTEED each year under STATS.
We are extremely pleased with everything we accomplished in 2011 NFBC. But our season isn't complete until every winner has their money in hand. We want you all to know we are working on that now and you will be handsomely rewarded shortly.
