Who Wants To Compete In The Next Slow Draft?

Post by Don M » Wed Dec 15, 2010 1:17 am

Is there a way , at draftpractice.com, to save your rankings and is there a way to join a future draft, say a week away, so that maybe it will fill up?

It takes a lot of time to do your rankings every tine you want to draft.

Thanks,

Don

Greg, these slow drafts are too tempting. I gave my last final today so I can start looking at the player pool. I have registered for the next $150 DC league.

Greg,

I (Jeff Tudor) would like to sign up for the $150 slow draft.

I also have two friends who would like to play:

Ben LaCrosse, Phoenix, AZ

John Deleray, Mission Viejo, CA

We would all 3 like to be in the same slow draft league as Stuart Fujisaki.

I'm interested in the $1,000 slow draft league. Can I know when it starts before I commit? Thanks, Greg.

Greg, we are going to fill it from everything I am seeing! Guys would like it to start Mid to Late January at the earliest, which we are all cool with.

Glenn,

A lot of other guys are saying the same thing! I think if we put a fun start date on this thing like the day Pitchers and Catchers report , Feb. 13th we will fill up pretty quick to say the least!

I want to play in the $1000 slow draft, but would need a more definite start time, due to times I'll be travelling. If it was Feb. 8th or later, I am in.

Please add me to the interested parties list for the$1000 slow draft. I'd be most interested in a mid to late February start. Thanks... Greg Doyle.

Well it sounds like we should just set Monday February 14th (Start of Spring Training) as the start date for the $1,000 SLOW DRAFT LEAGUE. This will give us plenty of time to fill the league, which we will have no problem doing and the excitement for the season will really be growing at that time.

Here is the current list of guys signed up for the 15 Team League along with the prize money up for grabs. This league like all the other slow draft leagues, will qualify for the Overall Slow Draft Championship as well.

Hope to see some of you guys sign up for the league, we already have a great group started!

$1,000 Slow Draft, Draft Champions League:

1. Max Ogden, Neenah, Wisconsin

2. Tim Pickett, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

3. Mike Massotto, Caldwell, New Jersey

4. Shawn Childs, Forestdale, Massachusetts

5. George Kleemann, Palatine, Illinois

League Prizes

1st = $7,700

2nd = $3,000

3rd = $1,000

I will gladly set up a time for this. The Super Bowl is Sunday, Feb. 6th. Should we start this on Monday, Feb. 7th? With this die-hard group, I'm sure we can finish it in three weeks or less. Or we can get it going before the Super Bowl, on Monday, Jan. 31st.

You folks list the date and we'll do the rest. Thanks all and let's fill this up. Max is depending on it!! :D

Whatever the group wants to do it fine with me!

This thing was my idea and therefor I am depending on it being a smash hit!

Either the 7th or the 14th of February for a start date will work...

And one more thought Greg...

Imagine the interest the $1,000 Slow Draft would get if NFBC put its full weight behind it.. i.e. put it on the Slow Draft Page along with the $150 and $375 Slow Drafts http://nfbc.fanball.com/375league/ and posted our signup list every time along with the signup lists for the $150 and $375 leagues on the message boards!

You would most likely fill 2 or 3 of these leagues!!

:D ;)

We would all 3 like to be in the same slow draft league as Stuart Fujisaki. Thanks Jeff. You and John have to officially sign up today yet and then we should be ready to go. Tell John to sign up online and if you can do that again that would help. Thanks and good luck.

For the slow drafts going on right now... any chance of suspending the 12-hour time limits on Christmas Day. Maybe from late-afternoon on the 24th until morning of 26th?

I'm not sure how we do that but I'll look into it and maybe we can extend the time to 24 hours or something for those two days. Good point and I'll look into this.
