Week 2 Pitchers to the_FAAB_Dump

Post by Gordon Gekko II » Fri Apr 10, 2009 1:47 am

You gotta move quickly to secure talented players in the FAAB pool. You also need to cut dead weight from your team as quickly as possible. Here’s a list of players I expect to see in the FAAB Dump after Sunday night…

Lannon

Snell

Parra

Cahill

Blanton

Bailey

E.Santana

Pavano  :D

And finally, a lot of “could-be closers”…J.Lewis, Saito, Lyon, etc…

Cahill...too young to have success. on a crappy team.

and

E. Santana...TJS on the horizon

I dropped Lyon from one of my teams last week....considering dropping Cook from two of my teams this week (haven't fully decided yet).

I will not be dropping Santana....have him on two teams. I'll probably be holding onto Snell for a little while longer as well.

As the injury bug rears its head into the fantasy world, where does it go? It's pitchers. Well, at least thats what I read in ALL the newspapers.
Yep, that A's team is certainly crappy. Looks to me like they had back to back games of 16 hits and 15 hits in their first three games. Maybe you should have drafted some of those crappy hitters.

The fact people even talk about these guys, Pavano, Glavine, Blanton etc. makes me embarrassed for the people who actually drafted them. Did anyone really think they would be helpful this year? Seriously. It's a joke right? Why are these guys even a topic of conversation??
I 100% agree with volquez. When Dusty Baker is in charge you can count on him to ruin good young pitchers.

I'll still never forgive him for ruining Wood and Prior back when he was coaching the Cubs. :(

volquez's whip will be north of 1.30 this year. i have him down for 1.37, but it could be worse...in the 1.40's or even, dare i say, 1.50's!!! he could literally crush some teams counting on a sub 1.30 whip.

he rode his horses and if the cubs wouldn't have choked away 2003 and won a WS, no one would care.

carrie is doing fine as a closer

so he only "ruined" prior. alledgedly
