Satellite League Results: Just A Few

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Feb 28, 2008 4:14 am

We've hosted seven satellite leagues the last two nights and we will host one more tonight. I don't want to give away all of the results from those drafts as it's unfair to the participants, but I don't think it would hurt to tease a few draft picks. I'm going to download the results now and Tom and I will do our best to answer any questions you may have about certain players. Don't ask for draft spots for every single MLB player, but if you have a few questionable guys now that you want info on, we'll do our best to give you some answers.

Okay, give us a little time to round up the results, but feel free to ask here anything you want. And if you participated in an NFBC Satellite League so far and want to make some comments about the drafts do so here as well. Thanks all.

I'll bite.

How would posting complete draft results be unfair to the players involved?

This way, you just get to see who was picked, and at what spot.

All seven with No. 1 picks this week to A-Rod.

Only David Wright and Hanley Ramirez went No. 2. David Wright by far went No. 2.

It's Hanley or Jose Reyes at No. 3 with one vote for Matt Holiday.

Albert Pujols went as high as 7th and as low as 13th (twice).

Johan Santana went as high as 9th and as low as 17th. He went in the second round only once.

Greg how about Kazmir with that injury. The injury happened on Tuesday and not everyone was aware of the extent of it. So he went between 69 and 101. Last night it was more like 77-101, so not much change. But mainly sixth and seventh round.

Gallardo

Escobar Those are more all over the board obviously, but Gallardo was more like 9th or 10th round, 127-145 or so. Escobar was 13th or 14th round, more like 189-214.

Soto: 113-169, from 8th round to 12th round was most common.

Taveras: 113-156, from 8th round to 11th round was common.

Bourn: 125 to 176 was common, 9th round to 12th round.

I'm flying to spring training in Phoenix tomorrow morning. Sorry I couldn't get to all of these today. Maybe Tom can look a few of these up and respond or I'll try tomorrow when I land. Good luck all.
