Welcome Reception In Las Vegas: Tentative On Thursday

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Mar 11, 2019 9:27 am

Every year in Las Vegas to start out the festivities I like to invite everyone to my suite before the first Thursday drafts and provide the first of many drinks you'll have in Las Vegas. In the past, we've had the beautiful Executive Penthouse Suite at the Bellagio, but that wasn't available this year because of a massive 10-day computer conference at the Bellagio and Aria. That conference has every space booked for 10 days.

So we are happy to be at Park MGM this year, but unfortunately they don't have a suite like the Bellagio has in stock. I have a suite and we might actually have two that day, but I won't know if it's big enough to host a short gathering or not until I get there on Monday. I'll update this thread, but one way or another we'll try to have a gathering spot for folks at 4 pm PT on Thursday.

The Auction Championship starts at 5 pm PT on Thursday in the Griffith Ballrooms, 2nd floor of the Convention Center.

The Main Event starts at 6 pm PT on Thursday in the Griffith ballrooms, 2nd floor of the Convention Center.

We are bidding for the Platinum League draft spots at 4 pm PT in the Griffith 2 ballroom.

It's also the first day of March Madness, so there will be a lot of folks at the sportsbook. But once I know more about our location and the size of our suites, I'll post something here and send out an email. It's always good to share a drink together before doing battle in the draft rooms.

Thanks all and safe travels to Las Vegas this year. Let's hope for no bad weather and no wind storms like we had two years ago when it shut down the airport on Thursday afternoon. Nothing but sunshine and warmth this year, right?

Made for a helluva frantic drive from Phoenix and a drafted ME team in a grocery store Starbucks in Podunk AZ.

I vote no winds. I wanna get a few parleys down before the festivities begin
