2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
Tom and I look forward to welcoming everyone to the New York live events this Friday at the Stewart Hotel. This marks the 16th straight season that we've hosted live events in New York City and we couldn't be more excited. Let's do this.
We started out in 2004 as the only high-stakes contest in the industry to host regional live events, starting in Las Vegas, New York and Chicago. Fifteen years later we are still hosting live NFBC events in those three cities. In 2004, we hosted a total of 17 contests: 13 Main Event leagues between the three cities and 4 auction leagues. That's a total of 243 teams.
This year we will host close to 800 different drafts and auctions with over 12,000 teams and more than $3.6 million in prize money. We've come a long way baby!!
We've also hosted at a lot of different venues in New York City as we went from available space there in 2004 to much tighter space in 2019. We started at the Javits Center, went to the New York Sheraton, the New York Hilton, Hotel Penn and now to the Stewart Hotel these last two years. We've gone from no media coverage at the beginning to having our Friday Night Ultimate League covered live by SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio the last four years. This year FNTSY Sports Network will also be there to cover our $2500 Auction Championship League and the three Main Event leagues. Now the whole country can follow what happens in New York City.
So with all of that in mind, let's have one thread on these Message Boards to show off the draft/nomination orders for each New York event and provide some space for some smack talking. At the very least, let's have a spot to show who competed in New York City during our 16th season of the NFBC. Here you go, and don't be afraid to smack talk here:

Well, Horton gets the 14 hole while trying to run the gauntlet in what will likely be the toughest main event draw this year. Good luck!Philippe27 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 3:58 pmA nice welcome to the NFBC Main Event for Salinger, Palmer and Horton

Re: 2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
Clark. At least you are picking right in the middle of the draft (7). U can make that work.
Re: 2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
And I don’t know what’s more shocking, MTM is ranked in the top 40 (WTF!?!?) or that he got the #1 pick.

Re: 2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
You know what's going to be the most shocking, Gekko? When I smoke you in the overall Main Event standings this year while winning the overall title. The People's Champion will rise! Now stop crying. We are all expecting a little more from an NFBC HOF inductee who should be able to take down any league he's in even carrying Emma as dead weight.

Re: 2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
And by the way, I'll have everyone know that I paid dearly for that #1 pick.
Actually, that's really a gif of Greg counting all the money I made him this year with all the leagues I filled or promoted on his behalf.

1. U Butcher the MTM ultimate draft Friday night
2. U quickly solicit opinions from “fantasy experts” later that evening on fixing your game plan
3. U still butcher the #1 pick on Saturday
With most “fantasy experts” having twitter handles, why don’t you just use the picks they recommend. Oh wait, maybe that is already how you approach your draft!
In any event, good luck in beating an NIT field. If you do happen to luck your way into a win, there will be an asterisk officially placed on it.
The owners in my league are in the NCAA tournament.

Re: 2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
After seeing who I'm competing against in League 3, I've decided to bail on my trip to NYC and do something more pleasant with my time, such as seven consecutive root canals.
Re: 2019 New York Leagues And Draft Spots
Ha!!! Truth be told, just nail all of your draft selections, dodge land mines and you will crush everyone in the league, me included.
