Draft Champions Leagues Are Paused Until 9 am ET

We apologize for this, but let's take the rest of the day off. Enough of fighting with the problem we've created.

ALL DRAFT CHAMPIONS LEAGUES ARE NOW PAUSED until 9 am ET Monday. Too many current owners are having trouble logging onto the site and it's causing more problems than you should have to handle on a Sunday. We know that overnight everyone will again gain access to the site, so let's move on.

We will unpause at 1 am ET, so if you're on the West Coast or a night owl and on the clock you can make a pick during the Pause. But every league's clock will start again tomorrow at 9 am ET. Good luck all and we apologize for this delay and inconvenience.

The Rotowire Online Championship and the NFBC $150 Draft Champions Express League tonight are both cancelled. I'll email everyone right now. We will refund everyone in those leagues and make good. We apologize but again we have too many owners in both drafts who can't get on the site right now. We've put you folks through enough today and it's not wise to continue this punishment.

We are sure that this problem will be resolved overnight when caches are cleared by Internet providers. If anyone still has a problem tomorrow please let us know. Again, SORRY for ruining a good day of drafting. We apologize.

Is it possible to just pause the clocks in all slow drafts manually then unpause tomorrow at 9am ET? Still allowing picks.

Good idea. This spares you guys an awful lot of work backing picks out. Also, the potential for hard feelings here were pretty high. Say some guy can't get in, times out and winds up with Max Gopherballs. You cheerfully pick Joe Hardnutz and go about your business. Then you find out a few hours later that the guy who timed out in front of you says he was planning to pick Joe all along. Now you got Thunderdome. Just regroup and we'll all give it another go tomorrow.

Yes Cutlines too. We will unpause after 1 am ET, so if you feel the urge jump in overnight and make a pick if you are on the clock. But no, all clocks start at 9 am ET tomorrow. Enjoy the day off.

It was the only call to make once we saw how many people couldn't get into the draft room. We thought the workaround would help, but not enough. We made sure that the clock was extended all morning and that nobody got auto-picked, but we couldn't do that for 8 more hours and it was just getting too frustrating for those folks locked out.

We learned a tough lesson and it will never happen again. Saturday was such a full day of signups and drafts and we knew today would be even better. But unfortunately now we move onto Monday and get everyone back in the draft room. Sorry all.

Greg, to the best of your knowledge, were there any timeouts? Are all those getting rolled back so when we start up fresh tomorrow everything will be back to how it was this morning before the issues?

After a tough couple hours this morning, Everything in three DC drafts were working fine before the pause so I don’t think rollbacks are necessary in all leagues

Greg, to the best of your knowledge, were there any timeouts? Are all those getting rolled back so when we start up fresh tomorrow everything will be back to how it was this morning before the issues?

Any timeouts were changed this morning and we continually reran the clock when it got down to 30 minutes on any draft after that. Nobody timed out from 9 am ET until we paused the drafts today. All drafts should be correct and ready to go with the right owners on the clock and all picks correct.

There were a lot of picks being made today and you could see in some drafts there were 10 or 11 folks in the draft room. That's why I hesitated to stop everything, but the number of emails and calls that we were getting from folks getting email updates and not being in the draft room forced us to just shut it down for everyone and start tomorrow morning. Not a fun call to make, but it was the only thing to do to make these leagues fair for everyone. Sorry all.
