Aria To Host Thursday, March 22nd Main & Auction Leagues

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Feb 14, 2018 8:57 am

Okay, we are finally set in all three locations with our draft venues. Las Vegas has been a bit of a struggle this year, but at the end of the day everything has worked out as well as it could.

We have great space at the Bellagio on March 16-18 and again on March 23-26. But there is a huge convention at the Bellagio from March 19-22 and thus every convention ballroom is full when we kick off the Second Weekend on Thursday, March 22nd. We still have a fantastic Executive Penthouse Ballroom for our Thursday Viewing Party at the Bellagio and everyone is welcome to attend that starting at 4 pm PT. More on that soon, but it happens to be the party room with a billiards table in it!! :D I think we can have some fun there. Last time we had that room, I had to forcibly remove Shawn and Joe Martens from there at the end of the night!!

That's going to be a great kickoff party and we may have that room for Friday and Saturday as well. I'm still working on details for the Friday night draft that MTM is talking about. But it's a fun space that can be worked into a cool draft room for any $350 Rotowire Online Championship LIVE drafts we may want to whip up on Friday or Saturday. Could be fun.

Now, onto the Thursday 5 pm Auction Championship and the 6 pm Main Event. We are close to filling the Auction Championship League that night and we actually have a start on a second Main Event league that night.

Both of those contests will hold their live events at the Aria Resort & Casino, which is just one stop over on the Tram from the Bellagio. We are in the Copperleaf Ballrooms on the second floor, the same space we had for the Thursday NFFC drafts and auctions in September. I will give more detailed directions shortly, but basically from the front lobby you just go to the casino, follow the Convention Center signs to the escalator, go up one floor and walk about 200 yards toward the Business Center and the Copperleaf Ballrooms are on your right. Very easy location and a very nice setup for all three leagues.

Hopefully most of us can meet at the Viewing Party at the Bellagio and take the Tram over together to the Aria. That will be the easy part. Hope that works and we'll make sure to inform everyone in these leagues ahead of time. But Aria just for Thursday, March 22nd drafts and auction, and everything else at the Bellagio this year in Las Vegas.

Thanks all and let's hope for full leagues and good weather in Las Vegas this year!! 8-)
