The NFBC site is live and the first draft of the season will happen this afternoon. That's right, it didn't take long for our NFBC die-hards to jump into the first $150 Draft Champions League and start DRAFTING!! Thanks all and best of luck in the hunt for the $1,000 league prize and the $30,000 grand prize.

Remember that this year when you sign up for a Draft Champions league that KDS preferences will run 15 minutes after the league sells out. The draft will start one hour after the league fills. If a league fills after 10 pm ET, it will start the next day at 9 am ET. Plan accordingly everyone.

Okay, let's get started on the first NFBC $150 Draft Champions of the year. Here's the current signups:

We are three hours into this first draft of the season and everyone has made a pick already. We are one pick into Round 2. I think the early drafters are good to go!! They were itching to draft for far too long and now they are picking in excess!! I love it.

Hmmm, maybe we'll show Round 1. I'm itching to post it. Let's see.

Round one has something I have never seen before in any NFBC Draft...ANY NFBC draft.

(Having finished our first e-mail DC league, I'm itching to draft again in the new draft room. Flying for Thanksgiving tomorrow so I'm on hold for a bit. We'll see if I can make it until I'm back from vacation before jumping in again.)

17 of the first 47 picks in this first Draft Champions League were pitchers, including relievers Kenley Jansen and Craig Kimbrel. Pretty interesting.
