Re: 12 SPOTS LEFT In $150 Slow Draft #27
For the first time in seven years, I'm not in the Fantasy Baseball industry! And boy, am I lost...
So I figured, I'd catch up (I'm used to starting prep in October) by joining a draft with the greatest Fantasy Baseball players in the world! Back when I'd watch 100s of drafts over the winter/spring, I'd always take note of what was going on -- the values, who was rising/falling, etc... That usually helped me with my home league (defending champ, thank you very much!) and other industry leagues.
Since I no longer have that info, I figured joining a draft or two is the next best thing. Plus, $150 to drive Tom Kessenich crazy is one of the best values in entertainment, in my opinion. Where's that "Call Commish" button again?
Most of all, I'm just happy to remain a part of the NFBC. I love the group and look forward to actually competing against ya'll for the first time.

Geoff, great to see your name again on the boards. Hope everything is well. Just wondering, you say that you are out of the fantasy baseball industry now. If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing now?

Well, after Tom Kessenich fired me for being late one morning (I lost track of time while reading stories to orphans) I tried being a pool boy for a while...ChiScottieBaseball wrote:Geoff, great to see your name again on the boards. In all seriousness, I'm still in the Fantasy industry -- working for MyFantasyLeague.com in a role similar to what I did at Mock Draft Central back in the day. Like Greg and Tom, I'm thrilled to be be where I am. We've all been blessed to have landed on our feet after Fanball went down!
MFL is only a football site, though, so brushing up on my baseball while working isn't really in the cards. That's why I'm here!
Thanks for the kind words, as well.
