2011 NFBC Update: Moving Forward
Great news. As one who was waiting on this news before signing up, I'll definitely be signing up now. But one other question... Greg, if we sign up now will Fanball hit our credit cards or will that all get done later on after the transition to STATS? Either way, thanks and congrats on making this h...

SGPs
A big challenge when calculating SGP's is with outliers: if a team punts saves in favor of drafting all starting pitchers, they may end up last with with 0 saves and, say, lead the league with 25 more wins than the second place team. Both of these rankings would skew the value of saves and wins, so ...

Hate to ask a blunt question, but I haven't seen this directly answered yet on this thread or really anywhere else on the boards: if I sign up for the main event today, what happens after 6/30/11? Like many others who have commented on this and other threads, I have ultimate confidence in Greg and T...

Formatting of stats reports
Greg, Tom, et al, I know this is not as important as getting the stats and rosters right, but the formatting and layout of the various reports also could use some attention. They're not easily readable by anyone used to seeing stats in a certain layout in newspapers, baseball cards, web sites, etc. ...

Summary of issues
To hopefully help things get squared away today, does everyone agree that this is the complete and accurate list of outstanding issues right now (in no particular order)? 1. Live scoring did not work 2. Week 0 stats not available this morning 3. Teams that had multiple FAAB lists only had the first ...

The Winning Baseball HQ Team!
Great thread, highlighting two distinct approaches. This reminds me of Gekko's post from a couple weeks back about the sudden and lengthy SP run in one of the Vegas drafts. Personally I don't believe in the notion of runs during a draft, it's just simply a reflection of how each league is valuing di...

Trying to reverse-engineer the order of your picks... 1. Utley 2. Reynolds 3. Ichiro 4. Upton 5. Wainwright 6. Hamilton 7. Bruce 8. Hanson 9. Weaver 10. As.Cabrera 11. Qualls 12. Hawpe After there it gets pretty shuffled. How'd I do? Assuming this is correct (or close to it), it would seem to me you...

KDS for main event, er, classic?
What is the deadline for setting KDS preferences for the main event on 3/27, and how do I access the settings? When I log in and click on "My Teams", I get my 2009 league info.
Sorry if I've missed this somewhere in another thread, and if so thanks again for re-posting it.

As a New York drafter, Dover would be a problem for me. AC would be a lot better. NYC would be even better still.

The injury Billingsley suffered on August 2 was originally reported as a hyperextended right knee, but later attributed to a hamstring strain. He made his next start on August 7 but then missed the following one before returning on August 18. Billingsley ended the season by posting a 5.01 ERA and 6....

Can we get back to the topic at hand for a second? Just to confirm, the "NFBC Premier Invitational" is a 15-team mixed draft, and will be on Sunday 3/21 in Las Vegas at the Bellagio? How many are signed up so far? I'm warming up to the idea...
