Would You Be In Favor Of Ranking Your Draft Spots?
Earlier, I put my vote as yes for the derby method. I also mentioned that I utilized all my FAAB dollars during the season. However, I should mention that if everybody else wanted to bid, so be it. I don't care what system we put in place. I dont mind if it doesn't change. If Greg says that on draft...

Would You Be In Favor Of Ranking Your Draft Spots?
I agree with this idea. Actually, I think I brought it up right before last year's draft as an option (I at least remember mentioning the Derby). I, for one, utilized most of my FAAB dollars this past year. If nothing else, this would quiet those people that say they would rather have 15th and 16th ...

Every league with one day to go (maybe)
Being in one of the leagues with 1/2 point difference (LV#5), I can't believe how down to the wire this is. The morning games are finishing and nothing is decided. Going by real time, the second place team has gained a point in average. But he is in a group of 3 teams that started the day .0007 apar...

but doing something like gaining ground on a 3 save deficit in 4 days is next to impossible Derrick Turnbow...1 down 2 to go.

Who Goes No. 1 In 2006 NFBC Draft?
I'd have to say with his double figure SB totals that Pujols is head and shoulders above the rest on my early list.
Also, with the not so stellar numbers of Randy Johnson, Oliver Perez, Ben Sheets, etc., we may see fewer pitchers go in the first two rounds.

exactly As of today, I see 3 points that I can lose easily: (Wins: 1, Avg: 1, runs: .5, HR: .5) While I only have 1 point available to win (the half points in runs and HR). My teams health early in the season is what allowed me to be patient with the two set up guys. One or two 15 day DL stints and ...

Wow, 1.5 points seperating $5000 and $0. That is some race. I'm nervous enough with my league's top three seperated by 2 points (115, 114, 113).

Chest: I share your surprise with my ERA holding firm. I think the key for me was not having to touch my bullpen. I drafted H Street and B Fuentes in the late rounds and got lucky with both. Then, when I knew I had saves locked up, I benched Mesa before he became...well, Mesa. When Halladay got hurt...

Thanks Chest:
I looked at the standings. There are points for us all to win and points for us to lose.
It's pretty exciting to know that every game in the majors has ramifications on our finish. Plus, Leaderboard Sports is hanging around, waiting for one of us to nosedive.
Good Luck

Just an FYI. For those of you reading the posts about the rule changes, the "Ken" that has threatened to quit if we go to twice a week changes is not me. In an earlier post, I said that it didn't matter to me either way. ...in case you were wondering...I get thrown myself reading a post by "Ken" tha...

Rule Changes For 2006 NFBC
I think Gekko has a good point. if your intent is to help owners with injuries, then make it a DL move. Pitcher or hitter. I don't think many will have a complaint about this.

Rule Changes For 2006 NFBC
I've always been the type of player that would use whatever rules you throw at me. I've tried just about every type of league there is. So I won't be bothered either way with the rule changes. I will mention that ESPN.com has a Maximum games started for your pitching staff to temper those owners tha...

Myself, I'm feeling pretty helpless. If all my players blew knees out or something, I could replace them with free agents. But they are all playing. (Except Halladay) By the same token, I suppose that all 15 points that I have lost in the last 2 weeks are within my grasp if my team wakes up. Two wee...

It didn't hurt my feelings too awlfully bad to hear that Halladay was going to not pitch against the Yankees on Sunday. The Yankees are hitting the hell out of the ball right now.

The Halladay injury could very well bring me back to the pack. I may be able to peice together enough wins to make up for him, but the damage that can be done by whoever takes his spot in the rotation (Fogg, Tomko, Westbrook) to my WHIP and ERA could cost me 6-7 points. I was really hoping that gett...

Boy The poor guy probobly was trying to brag to us about what a good deal he got. He wasn't expecting the truth. Dude, if you are playing in a money league, congratulations. You ought to win with deals like that. Unfortunately, keeper leagues that allow such unbalanced trades have a lot of turnover....

With over $400K in entry fees (not including auctions), Greg should absolutely err on the side of caution.
To be quite blunt, if I had to choose to **** off 1 or 299 owners, I'll **** one off every time.

If Bonds had coome off of the DL to take one AB and then get hurt, he would certainly have been included.
