I loved (past tense) the slow draft scenerios, but situations like this led me away from them. It simply takes the air out of the balloon.

Raise the auction entry fee to $950, which will make it an even $1K with the event fee. Pay as much as you can to the leagues, maybe only a couple places to the overall. A tough well balanced league deters your chances of winning the overall, I like more going to the leagues.
